I reviewed a lot of firepits before settling on this one. My sister purchased a firepit from WalMart and she's been somewhat pleased with hers, but it won't really light or stay lit once it's been started. Our area can be very windy at times and sometimes you just can't get the firepit to light. This firepit has been amazing in the wind. It lights and stays lit. The other night we were all out enjoying the evening and it was pretty darn windy. Our firepit stayed lit and provided heat for the kids after they were done swimming. It's lovely and is just different enough. Highly recommend this firepit.
